Can Oliver Perez outduel Jeff Suppan? That is one question for tonight’s National League Finale.  Perez and his live arm squeezed out a win in Game 4, due mostly to the Mets’ huge offensive effort.  The Cards worked Perez for 5 runs in 5 innings and pitched well themselves.  At least they pitched well until the finely tuned New York offense got itself rolling.  Those first five hitters will make or break their World Series chase, just as they made that game.  Luckily for St. Louis, Jeff Suppan will have a lot to say about their production.  He owned the Mets in Game 3, going a very strong and scoreless 8 innings. Both pitchers will need to put together some quality innings, especially with both bullpens trying to catch up on some rest.  Surely the game will be exciting, whether the Cardinals or Mets head to Detroit.  Be patient Tigers.  You don’t have long to wait.
