CBS puts together the most memorable college football plays in one video. Most of them are the obvious greats, but it is nice to watch them all in one video.
Since I wrote the post earlier about Michigan and Ohio State barely beating their nonworthy opponents today, I decided to search for some rivalry videos to celebrate their hatred for each other.
Via YouTube:
“Ohio State OWNS Michigan” - 8 minute highlight reel of great Ohio State plays against Michigan throughout the years of their rivalry.
“The Catch” from last year’s matchup. Features Ohio State’s Anthony Gonzalez making an incredible grab while getting hit by Wolverine defenders.
“Michigan Sucks” - quick and to the point.
“Remember the Titans” (TV Version) - Two of the main characters discuss where they are going to play college ball - UM or OSU?

No TagsBoth the #1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes and the #2 ranked University of Michigan Wolverines managed to squeak by their opponents today in what should have been uncontested blowouts. No offense to the Fightin’ Illini of Illinois and the Flaming Testicles of Ball State, but these two Big Ten powerhouses should have easily won by two touchdowns or more. It appears that both teams were caught offguard as they were looking ahead to their championship-caliber regular season finale matchup on December 2nd.
But they both managed to overcome and put another notch in the left hand column, just as great teams should do. I know I can’t wait until the December 2nd game, but of course that’s if they both don’t fuck up the importance of that game by losing to a junior community college in the weeks to come.
In the end, I predict Ohio State to pull this one out and earn an all-expenses paid vacation to Glendale, Arizona to take home the national championship trophy by stomping all over Rutgers. Or Louisville. Or Boise State. Or the all girls catholic high school which is conveniently in my backyard.
No TagsCan Oliver Perez outduel Jeff Suppan? That is one question for tonight’s National League Finale. Perez and his live arm squeezed out a win in Game 4, due mostly to the Mets’ huge offensive effort. The Cards worked Perez for 5 runs in 5 innings and pitched well themselves. At least they pitched well until the finely tuned New York offense got itself rolling. Those first five hitters will make or break their World Series chase, just as they made that game. Luckily for St. Louis, Jeff Suppan will have a lot to say about their production. He owned the Mets in Game 3, going a very strong and scoreless 8 innings. Both pitchers will need to put together some quality innings, especially with both bullpens trying to catch up on some rest. Surely the game will be exciting, whether the Cardinals or Mets head to Detroit. Be patient Tigers. You don’t have long to wait.
